Ice Climbing Technical Rescue

This 2-Day seminar will focus on technical rescue systems in a winter environment and the nuances and challenges this can present.

Participants must be competent at following WI3+. Some basic knowledge of companion rock rescue will help as well but is not required.

Students will receive the highest level of education with the most up to date devices and techniques, and walk away with vastly improved knowledge and problem solving skills for winter climbing.

Dates: Dec. 1 & 2, 2025

Location: Cody, WY

Single and Multipoint Ice Anchor Construction with Ice Screws and V-Threads

Improving Climbing and Leader Efficiency in Multipitch Terrain

Leader and Follower Rescue

Rope Ascension in Winter Environments

Counter-Balance & Tandem Rappels

Various Lowering Techniques
